Helpful Guidelines on Cleaning a Weed Grinder

You might know how to use a weed grinder, but these tips will help you learn more about this exceptional tool that can help you achieve a more pleasurable smoking experience. Be sure to stay informed about the correct way to use your weed grinder, especially when cleaning out the buds. You don’t want to use one with small flaky pieces on the inside and if you find cleaning up the dust essential to your smoking habit, here are some useful tips on how to properly maintain a weed grinder:

First-Time Cleaning

Before using a newly bought grinder, it needs thorough cleaning in order to protect it from the chemicals surrounding the metal plates. Start off by unscrewing and inspecting the pieces, an average grinder has four. You may possibly see a few flakes left behind from the manufacturing process. Wipe the weed grinder down with a small amount of isopropyl alcohol to kill germs and bacteria and use a Q-tip if needed. Then, it’s ready to use.

After-Use Cleaning

It isn’t necessary to clean the grinder frequently, but when the “kief” starts to block the screen and the weed grinder starts to stick, making it difficult to turn, then it’s time to clean it. Before thoroughly cleaning the grinder, collect as much kief as possible. One great tip is to get a piece of paper and tap each piece of the grinder onto it. If there is a lot of build-up, you should put the grinder in the freezer and leave it for about 15 to 20 minutes, which will loosen up the remaining kief. Once it’s ready, use a toothpick or any fine-tipped object to remove as much dirt as you can. Finally, wipe the grinder down with isopropyl alcohol and use a Q-tip to get into the grooves.
