Keeping safe with legal highs
If you want to have a one-of-a-kind experience without breaking the law, then legal highs are the ideal way to help you do so. As a purer, cheaper and safer option, legal highs can lead to some great nights out. It is important, however, as with any drug, that you stay safe.
Do not mix legal highs with alcohol. No types of drug mix well with alcohol. You are not even supposed to have a glass of wine if you are taking prescribed antibiotics! Needless to say, unless you have chemical documentation to prove otherwise, you should not, under any circumstances, ingest any alcohol within at least 48 hours of taking any legal high.
Do not overdo it. There is a myth going around that it is much easier to work out the dosage for legal highs. This is, on the whole, rubbish. Ensure that you only take a small amount of any legal high to begin with and work out what your body can handle. If it was your first time having a drink, how would your body react to you consuming a whole bottle of Jack Daniels in one sitting? Exactly. Be sensible.
Do not succumb to peer pressure. Legal highs offer a great way for you to have a good time with your friends, but that does not mean you should do anything that you are uncomfortable doing. You should not drink if you do not want to, smoke if you do not want to, or participate in legal highs if you do not want to. Legal highs are as safe as any drugs, but they should not be abused.
