What is Golden Root Complex used for?
A commonly used “legal high” in the “herbal high” category is known as golden root. Golden root complex is also known as Rosavin, Rhodiola rosea, Rose root and even Aaron’s Rod.
Golden root is used for many things – not just for the purposes of getting high. A plant in the Crassulaceae family, the herb has a strong reputation for having a very positive effect on mood in human beings, helping to alleviate depression, reduce tiredness and even improve both mental and physical performance.
It is believed that taking golden root increases the levels of both dopamine and serotonin in the brain, and this is the reason for it’s positive impact, making people more alert and aware and generally feeling much more positive. Golden root comes from the same group of plant derivatives that also produces nicotine, yet it does not have the same negative consequences.
The positive effects of golden root are not a new discovery; it has been used for centuries in places such as Russia and Scandinavia as a way to cope with stress and the extremely cold climate of those areas. It is also a long standing ingredient in traditional forms of Chinese medicine.
A slightly lesser known benefit of golden root is for people who become sick while travelling to high altitudes, the herb apparently helps to alleviate these symptoms in some cases. There is also an unproven school of thought that the herb can even help to prevent disease. In any case, there are no negative health consequences, so golden root is considered safe and very much a “legal high”.
