Coloured Contact Lenses

OK, so this may not be a high; you can’t take them, you can’t snort them and you can’t smoke them. But the child-like party animal in me still can’t resist them.

I love dressing up on a night out and depending on how I feel I might want to go as a fairy, or as a superhero, or as a crazed zombie. I can’t remember the last party I had that wasn’t fancy dress, and I’ve been using coloured contact lenses for ages to add an extra dimension to my costume.

If I’m out clubbing and want to be noticed from the oher side of the club I use UV contacts lenses. When we’re in the pub before hand they look like a single solid colour and draw plenty of attention but when we get in the club and under the UV lights, wow! They glow as brightly as any glow stick and become a massive talking point meaning I get to make new friends. Take that, boring, non-coloured, normal eyes!

For fancy dress outside of the club the possibilities are endless. For Halloween if I want to look like one of the living dead I can go for either a solid black or solid white lens. Or maybe if I wanted to go a bit more ’28 Days Later’ I could go for a Rage style lens.

I  went to a party recently where the theme of the party was the letter ‘C.’ I didn’t have much time to plan for a costume so went as a cat, complete with realistic looking cat’s eyes! Simple!

Sometimes, of course, I just fancy looking a little different to how I normally do, and in those instances I can use totally natural looking lenses that either enhance what I have naturally or completely transform me while still retaining a completely natural look. I wouldn’t be without my lenses!
