A great way to smoke – Vaporizers

Vaporizers are a specialized type of device that you can use to extract the active ingredients of psychedelic plants and turn them into vapour for subsequent inhalation by the user. This process is called vaporization. Tobacco as well as many other herbs are some of the plants most commonly used with vaporizers.

Vaporization is considered a popular alternative to conventional smoking. In smoking, the herb is burned resulting in the production of chemicals that irritate the linings of the respiratory system and can possibly cause cancer. The vaporizer, on the other hand, heats the herb in a vacuum until its active ingredients boil off and inhaled safely as vapour. There is no combustion involved in vaporization. Therefore there is no smoke produced. Moreover, not a single measure of tar or carbon monoxide gas is produced. The vapour is fine except with cannabinoids where it is usually sticky and sweet.

The vaporization process and the benefits it gives remain the same whether the vaporizer you are using is made up of a single device unit or a modular system of assembled vaporization tools. The process always begins with the extraction of the vapour in various forms of extraction chambers made from glass, metal or other materials. Inhalation always follows the extraction process. The user inhales the extracted vapour directly using a pipe or a hose. In some cases the vapour is kept in a jar or any container for future consumption.

Vaporizers have a number of advantages over cigars and cigarettes. Some of these include a much lower temperature that does not burn the airways and lungs, the use of less plant material needed to obtain a desired intensity of experience, and most importantly the production of little or no smoke, for which cigarettes and cigars have earned their reputation for causing cancer.

Handheld Vaporizers – ideal for when you’re on the move!

A vaporizer is a device for heating up herbal highs and turning them into vapour in order to be inhaled by the user. One type of vaporizer is the handheld vaporizer. Handheld vaporizers are conveniently small, light and portable and can be powered either by batteries or butane gas; although most models of handheld vaporizers do not require batteries at all, only a lighter and your herbs. They are also very inexpensive.

Some models of handheld vaporizers have extendable mouthpieces. Some are designed to extract and further refine the vapour of your herbs in order to produce less poisonous vapours. With smoking you will get heavy sluggishness, but with handheld vaporizers you will have a clean and clear experience.

Other handheld vaporizers are very small, just about the size of a pen. With these small types, your breath may even be used for quick heating and inhalation. This type can be used anywhere – in your office or home, or practically anywhere whether you have a lighter or not.

In order to use a handheld vaporizer you must first put some of your ground mixed herbs into the large glass bowl. Screw in the mouthpiece, or the long stem, afterward. Then light a flame under the bowl using a lighter in order to heat up your herb mix. Revolve the bowl gently while the flame is still on. As soon as the bowl begins filling up with vapour, inhale through the mouthpiece. The feeling is quite different compared to when you are smoking. With smoking, you can feel the back of your throat being hit by the smoke but with a vaporizer there is barely if ever anything to notice. The psychoactive effects of the herbs, however, are more potent with the vaporizer.

Vaporisers – Inhalation Specialisation

To smokers out there, a better alternative is available – a vaporiser.

Inhalation of medicinal herbs and other plant material for medicinal or recreational purposes has been a practise long performed by man. The benefits derived from inhaling the materials contained within the plants are more easily accessible through vaporisation. The equipment used to achieve vaporisation, the vaporiser, is designed for drawing the maximum positive effect while minimising any ill-effects.

A vaporiser presents certain advantages to its users. Unlike smoking, the process of vaporisation does not result in the large presence of harmful substances like carbon monoxide, or residual matter such as tar. This is because a vaporiser draws out the substances by the application of heat within a sealed space, causing the substance to vaporise. This process within a controlled space allows for the elimination of combustion; therefore no smoke or smoke-like taste is present.

Perhaps one of the best advantages of a vaporiser is that the effects are more readily felt, as the substances get to the bloodstream directly. Better control of the quantity can also be better maintained through a vaporiser than by other means.

Medicinal plants and herbs are best delivered though vaporisation. However, different factors need to be considered for achieving the most efficient results. Extracting and delivering the substances are highly dependent on the kind of vaporiser employed. Other key elements to consider are temperature, kind and potency of the substance used, water content and weight, density, and consistency of the material.

Vaporisers employ three different methods of heating: convection, thermal conduction, and thermal radiation. All three methods use an electrical heating procedure for heating the substance.

Smoking can now take a backseat to inhaling vapours.

Pipes and Bongs – for a smoother herbal smoke!

Herbal smoking is growing in popularity and is currently enjoyed by many people around the world. This legal activity requires the smoker to inhale the fumes of various herbs as they are burned. The inhaling is done through pipes and bongs, sometimes called chillums, or through filled and rolled cigarette papers. In addition to pipes and bongs, herbal-high vaporisers are used by people who are sensitive to smoke. Vaporizers are also used for inhalation therapy, when treating respiratory illnesses, such as asthma.

Generally, the herbs consumed in herbal smoking are legal to possess. A herbal high is pleasant, and much less intense and brief than a cannabis-induced high. Herbs that are used for legal smoking are also commonly used in teas and often in cooking. Some of the herbs used in herbal smoking to achieve legal highs are hops, salvia divinorum, chamomile, ginseng, damiana, wild dagga, kava kava, passionflower, and there are more. When herbs are combined, smokers often use a substance called mugwort powder that acts as binding material to hold together the mixture. The herbs are then put into the pipe, bong or chillum, where they are lit and smoked.

Many of these herbs come from Hawaii and Mexico, where they are grown. However, no matter what the country or area of origin is these herbs can be purchased over the Internet. Herbs, bongs, rolling paper, instructions for smoking and all the information you can possibly need for obtaining a legal herbal high can be found online.

Vaporisers commonly used in herb smoking

Different types of vaporizers are already available, such as the classic vaporizer (BC vaporiser), Digital vaporizer (Vapir One) and the balloon style vaporizer (the Volcano).

Of these three, the Volcano is the most popular among herb smokers; however, it is high priced. The Volcano Vaporizer is very nice and a solid peace of machinery. The special balloon in the vaporizer unit holds more vapour than that of other types and can be breathed in at anytime. It’s worth the money because for some who have tried it, it’s the best way to smoke. One user said that it enhances the strength of the weed. It’s healthier to use the Volcano because you’re not inhaling smoke, tar and trace particles.

With just a little amount of your chosen herb you can get the same high as using a traditional water bong and it is more efficient too. Plus, the flavour is very pleasant, as if smoking without the smoke, and it has a nice after taste.

Many people that try a vaporizer for the first time never go back to standard smoking, although some that are not familiar with its operation end up with their herb burned.

Some also appreciate the BC vaporizer because it’s portable. With either a battery or power adapter, you can literally take it anywhere. There are also a few who are beginning to use the digital vaporizer, the electrical herbal ceramic vaporizer. It also works pretty well, with an unusual type of high compared to smoking with a pipe or bong.

Vaporisers versus traditional smoking methods

It is difficult to maintain a good balance between enjoying vices and taking care of your health. Smoking is one of the vices which, while enjoyable, is damaging to a person’s health. Recently, smokers have found an alternative that maximises their smoking enjoyment with the least effect on their health: the vaporiser.

A vaporiser is an invention geared towards health conscious individuals who can’t or don’t want to give up smoking. Aside from different varieties of tobacco, the vaporiser is also used for other materials that can be smoked, like herbal mixtures. Studies have shown that in a single cigarette, a person breathes in not only nicotine, but other harmful and dangerous chemicals like tar. Tar is an ingredient in smoked materials that adheres to the lungs and causes several respiratory problems, such as lung cancer. The vaporiser eliminates all these secondary chemicals so that when people use the vaporiser, they inhale the active ingredients of the plant, which also increases the satisfaction gained from smoking. The vaporiser also contains several different flavours to add variety.

A vaporiser brand that has been getting excellent reviews in the market is the Vapir vaporiser. The Vapir is very practical because it is rechargeable as well as portable. It is considered revolutionary because it utilises modern microchip technology to track temperature to keep it from overheating. It also uses new technology which hastens the heating of herbs without compromising their quality.

Studies have shown that people using vaporisers experience less respiratory problems compared to people who use traditional smoking methods.

Types of Vaporizers and How They Work

Vaporizers work by applying mild heat rather than flame to let you inhale the active ingredients of your chosen herbal mixture. When smoking mixtures are heated to the temperature range of 180-200 degrees Celsius (356 – 392 degrees Fahrenheit), it will release the most potent parts of the plant without burning it; burning the herb is more damaging on your lungs because of harmful carcinogens. This vapour comes out as a thin mist and is ready to be inhaled. This mist tastes better and much safer than smoke.

The operation of a vaporizer hinges on the type of vaporiser being used. The BC Vaporizer, a classic vaporizer, has a ceramic tray inside a glass bulb. You loosen the glass top, place some mixture in the tray, tighten the top back on and turn it on. Wait until the mixture changes colour slightly, and then merely inhale the clean vapours.

The Volcano Digit, a digital vaporizer, is capable of heating your herbal mixture instantly. You won’t have to wait the normal 5 minutes before using. A digital vaporiser has a digital readout, as well, that you can view to make sure you are vaporising at the right temperature.

The Vapir One is a balloon style vaporizer. It works by pumping the vaporised mist into a special balloon and detaching it from the vaporizer and inhaling anytime you want. This special balloon can hold more vapour compared to the other styles stated above.
