Multi-Pipe or Multiple User Bongs
Multi-pipe or multiple user bongs are designed and styled similar to the construction of a hookah enabling more than one individual to get high smoking controlled (illegal) substances or those substances deemed as being legal (i.e., herbals, naturals, etc.). They are available all over the internet, as well as being for sale in retail smoke shops and through other tobacco vendors offline or online.
Their popularity has stemmed from the fact that they are cooler (temperature wise) and safer to use than rolling the substance and smoking it in “blunt” or “joint” form. The key benefit to using a multi-pipe or multiple user bong is that they afford those who are imbibing in the substance the opportunity to do so all at once.
The premise behind the coolness and safety factors stems from the fact that the user or users experience far less of a burning sensation in their mouths, lungs, and airways. The water that is typically placed in the base of the bong not only results in a cooling effect, it also acts to trap certain particles and other bits of undesirable materials so that the person who is smoking does not risk ingesting those as well as the smoke.
Currently, multi-pipe or multiple user bongs have also found a niche with those individuals who smoke legal substances such as herbals and naturals. Despite the numerous legal warnings against this type of paraphernalia, and the fact that law enforcement authorities are continuously sending these warnings out, very few people are actually heeding those warnings and abiding by them.
