Aphrodisiacs explained

Aphrodisiacs have been used since ancient times by both men and women to enhance our natural urges and desires and stimulate arousal.  They improve the general mood of the user as well as the sexual drive.

While natural aphrodisiacs include strawberries, oysters, ginseng and ginger, herbal stimulants are now marketed as aphrodisiacs in both liquid and pill form.  Their purpose is to provide worn-out, stressed, modern men and women with a libido lift and help them regain the sexual urge lost by long work days or a hectic family life.

The body naturally secretes pheromones, a scent that it makes it attractive to the opposite sex and pheromone sprays and colognes can be purchased to rub on the neck in the same way as a regular cologne.

A number of traditional herbal tonics from various parts of the world are also marketed as aphrodisiacs.  Among them, ashwagandha is also called the “Ginseng of India” and, like many herbs, said to hold aphrodisiac properties, helps the body to adapt to both physical and emotional stress.

Another natural aphrodisiac is catuaba or bark powder, which increases blood circulation both to the brain and the reproductive organs and is used by the indigenous peoples of the Brazilian Amazon region.

For men, aphrodisiacs such as horny goat weed, naturally stimulate sperm production and improve testosterone levels.

Many traditional Chinese medicines are believed to have aphrodisiac and libido-enhancing properties. Siberian ginseng, for example, is revered for being able to stimulate natural stamina and physical endurance during love making.

Increase your Libido with Aphrodisiacs

At some point in their lives, many people want to feel more sensual and to increase their libido. Aphrodisiacs are a great way to do this, and, thankfully, there are many herbal and completely legal options for people who want to get high on love and lust.

Herbal aphrodisiacs are wildly popular amongst couples because they can enhance the experience of sex with their partner. Many of these stimulants, herbal or synthetic in nature, are also able to increase male performance, which is a definite draw to men and women alike.

Aphrodisiacs work with the natural chemistry of the body in order to increase a person’s libido and put them in the mood. Stimulants give men and women energy in combination with the highly aphrodisiac properties that can be found in many legal concoctions.

Some herbs alone can work as aphrodisiacs. One such herb is Damiana, which can be brewed in a tea or smoked with the help of Volcano vaporizer easy valve or Roor pipes. It produces a light aphrodisiac feeling and stimulates circulation in the genital area, creating a very unique and understated feeling. Some aphrodisiacs in pill form are far more potent.

Whatever your desire, finding legal aphrodisiacs and creating that sensual high that you and your partner are looking for are possible. Remember, as with anything of this nature, it is important to practise responsible usage of any aphrodisiacs to protect your health, even if they are 100% legal.

Herbal Aphrodisiacs

Some herbal remedies, which you can put in your Roor pipe or Eclipse Vape-2O vaporizer, claim to have aphrodisiac properties.  Chief among them are damiana and the yohimbe root.  The latter has actually enjoyed some success in treating erectile dysfunction in men, though herbal supplement shops sell them as an aphrodisiac for women as well.

Damiana

Damiana is a smoking herb that is used in traditional Mexican medicine to treat sexual dysfunction and menstrual pain.  It purportedly has similar effects to marijuana.

Betel Nuts

These are chewed in India, and supposedly form a part of tantric sex magic.  However, they are known to be carcinogenic, so their use is not recommended.

Guarana

Guarana is well known as a stimulant similar to caffeine.  It is found in capsule form as well as in many of the energy drinks available in most supermarkets.  Its aphrodisiac properties are strongly linked to its stimulant properties.

Clinical trials on these herbal aphrodisiacs are few and far between. However, medical opinion seems to be that aphrodisiacs in general operate on the placebo principle.  In other words, anything can be an aphrodisiac if you believe it is.

Aphrodisiacs – Golden Root

As with many legal highs, plants provide humanity with various medicines, remedies and also enjoyable experiences. One common use for certain types of flora is to enhance physical and sexual satisfaction. A favourite plant is Golden Root, also known as Rhodiola Rose. Aphrodisiacs can be smoked or vaporised in devices such as Volcano vaporisers, solid valve or easy valve.

Uses for Golden Root

The natural chemicals found in Golden Root help to alleviate depression and induce the production of serotonin and dopamine in the body, hence creating a feeling of happiness and relaxation. It is also used in other countries to relieve stress.

In the UK, the plant is most commonly used to relieve men of the debilitating condition, erectile dysfunction, but there is no direct link to it treating this condition; instead, it is suggested that the physical relaxation and increased levels serotonin act to improve a man’s sexual performance. Either way, users feel much better in themselves having taking this herbal supplement.

Golden Root can also be used to reduce tiredness and balance the consumer’s mood. However, it is worth noting that it is important to take the plant remedy earlier in the day, as it can interfere with sleep if taken just before bedtime.

If taken excessively it can heighten the individual’s senses to a degree that they may become irritable or anxious, obviously not the desired effect, so caution is necessary. Always be sure to seek a medical professional’s advice before taking any herbal or other legal highs.

What is Golden Root and what is it used for?

Many people find that taking Golden Root can help improve their physical as well as their mental performance; it can also be very effective in treating conditions of depression and fatigue syndrome.  Golden Root is a prescribed drug and is marketed as a stimulant that can be taken as an alternative to Viagra.

Golden Root is a plant that has been taken as a stimulant for thousands of years by people living in the colder regions of the northern hemisphere such as the edge of the Steppes and the mountain ranges of China.  It has been a staple ingredient in Chinese traditional medicine as a spiritual and healing pick-me-up.  Believed to have properties that improve concentration, enable the mind to work faster and optimise physical ability and stamina, it has been a popular stimulant for centuries, and was widely used by the Vikings.

The plant was traditionally mashed into a tea but nowadays the most common way to take Golden Root is in capsule or tablet form.  Take the recommended dosage of 100 mg tablets twice a day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.  Many users report that if they take the tablet too late then they are unable to sleep.  If you find that you are too hyperactive and alert at bedtime then reduce the dosage.

The general timescale for noticing an improvement in mind and physical ability is about four weeks of continuous Golden Root use.  People find that they have better concentration and can recover faster after doing anything energetic.

Commercial Golden Root

Golden root is sold as a commercial herbal and natural alternative to prescription drugs for a number of conditions. These conditions can range from depression to improving sexual performance.

Golden root has been used for thousands of years as a healing and spiritual tonic, and as a stimulant to improve physical and mental performance. Many believe that it improves concentration, making the mind work quicker and that it improves physical ability, optimising strength and endurance. Users say that within four weeks of regular use, they find that their ability to concentrate is greater and that they recover more quickly after exercise or physical work.

Although golden root can be taken as a tincture, the most popular form of the herbal pick-me-up is tablet or capsule form. The tablets are normally supplied as 100g of golden root and two tablets are taken daily, one in the morning and the other early in the afternoon. Many people find that if they take the tablet too close to bedtime they have difficulty sleeping. If taking golden root makes you hyperactive and jumpy, then reduce the dosage.

Golden root is said to work by increasing dopamine and seratonin levels in the brain. It is an adaptogen, which means it alleviates stressors on the body such as tiredness.

The contents of the tablets will differ from different manufacturers who argue the number of compounds in golden root.  Some tablets contain only rosavins and salidroside while other manufacturers claim that there are up to 28 chemical compounds to be found in golden root and that tablets containing only two of these are not as effective.

What is Golden Root Complex used for?

A commonly used “legal high” in the “herbal high” category is known as golden root. Golden root complex is also known as Rosavin, Rhodiola rosea, Rose root and even Aaron’s Rod.

Golden root is used for many things – not just for the purposes of getting high. A plant in the Crassulaceae family, the herb has a strong reputation for having a very positive effect on mood in human beings, helping to alleviate depression, reduce tiredness and even improve both mental and physical performance.

It is believed that taking golden root increases the levels of both dopamine and serotonin in the brain, and this is the reason for it’s positive impact, making people more alert and aware and generally feeling much more positive. Golden root comes from the same group of plant derivatives that also produces nicotine, yet it does not have the same negative consequences.

The positive effects of golden root are not a new discovery; it has been used for centuries in places such as Russia and Scandinavia as a way to cope with stress and the extremely cold climate of those areas. It is also a long standing ingredient in traditional forms of Chinese medicine.

A slightly lesser known benefit of golden root is for people who become sick while travelling to high altitudes, the herb apparently helps to alleviate these symptoms in some cases. There is also an unproven school of thought that the herb can even help to prevent disease. In any case, there are no negative health consequences, so golden root is considered safe and very much a “legal high”.

What is Golden Root?

Otherwise known as rhodiola rosea, Golden Root is a plant that grows in the cold regions of the world such as the Arctic, the mountains in central Asia, the Rocky Mountains and the United States, and various mountain ranges within Europe. It is used in a variety of countries around the world as a natural means of alleviating depression and improving moods.

There have been various studies around the world which show that golden root complex improves the physical and mental performance of individuals who consume it on a regular basis, and that it also reduces fatigue. Scientists have determined the reason for this is because the herb optimizes serotonin and dopamine levels through monoamine oxidase inhibition, although the neurochemical mechanics of how this works have not been scientifically documented in full yet.

Golden root complex is part of a group known to scientists as adaptogens, which are herbal supplements that differ from chemical stimulants such as nicotine. They do not have the adverse physiological effects of the stimulants, but still give the same mental benefits.

Golden root is most popular in Russia and Scandinavia where it has been used for centuries to help individuals living in extremely cold climates cope with the temperatures and stressful way of life. It has been tested in various laboratories, where golden root has been proven to prevent weight gain and stress-induced changes in appetite.

Golden root has also been used in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries under the name of hong jing tian. It is one of the major components in many legal high products.

Possible Side Effects of Golden Root

Many people use golden root as a way to cope with depression, boost energy levels, and help to keep alert while on the job.  For all the good things about this herb, there is still some potential for side effects, especially if too much is consumed in a short period of time.  Here are some examples.

First, it is important to remember that golden root is a stimulant that works on certain neurotransmitters in the brain.  When taken in moderation, the activity helps to alleviate depression due to a chemical imbalance.  However, an excessively large dose can move the person past a balanced mood all the way into a euphoric state that borders on an anxiety attack.  If you seem to notice that you go from feeling a bit down to being overly excited, try cutting back on the dosage.

Another potential side effect is insomnia.  Most herbalists will recommend taking golden root earlier in the day rather than just a few hours before bedtime.  Since the effect of the herb is to uplift the mental processes, you may find that your mind is not willing to shut down and let your body fall into recuperative sleep.  The end result is that you will be extremely tired the next day, something that most of us prefer to avoid.

One last side effect to be aware of is a sudden increase in irritability.  Like many herbs, golden root balances the mood when taken in moderate doses.  Too much can heighten the senses to the point that little sounds or other distractions become highly annoying, almost to the point of causing one to lose control of his or her temper.  Cutting back on the dose will usually prevent this side effect from recurring.
